USABLE PACKAGING adopts state of the art technologies to develop high performance bioplastics, which are essential to respond to the end-use requirements of consumer packaging.
The compounding of base resins enables the extension of performance range, whilst electro spinning and bio-lamination technologies make fully bio-based and biodegradable multi-layer film accessible.
USABLE PACKAGING aims to fine-tune bioplastics functionality by reactive and non-reactive extrusion processing. This is very important to ensure the high performance required for consumer end use, within the mono material packaging concept.
USABLE PACKAGING includes processing technologies for the conversion of biomass into bioplastics. Control over the polymer production step makes it possible to design the product in a way that boosts performance. Additionally, the choice of biomass side streams from food industry is crucial to deliver the circular value chain.
